What is the Pottermore Affiliate Programme?

The Pottermore Shop is the exclusive home of the seven Harry Potter eBooks and digital audio books, as well as J.K. Rowling's three companion eBooks ('Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them', 'Quidditch Through the Ages', and 'The Tales of Beedle the Bard'). Users of 18 years of age and above can visit and register with the Pottermore Shop to purchase the eBooks, digital audio books and other items, for themselves or as gifts for others.

If you are approved as a Pottermore publisher ("Affiliate") you will be able to use assets provided by Pottermore (e.g. web banners or the Pottermore Shop logo) to direct your users to the Pottermore Shop. In return you will receive an agreed commission personalised to your business model.

How does it work?

It is free to become a Pottermore Affiliate. Once approved you will be presented with the Pottermore brand guidelines and access to your own Affiliate Management Hub. This is where you can create your own links, view web based real-time reports allowing you to track the commission you have earned, and monitor link performance. Marketing banners and other assets can also be downloaded from this location. Product by product metadata will also be made available within the Hub for those who are able to integrate and display the Pottermore products within their own website catalogues on a product-by-product basis, with links through to purchase from the Pottermore Shop.

Commission rates start at 4% and can be reviewed at any time by Pottermore. Pottermore and our Programme Management Team will be on hand to answer any of your questions about the Programme at any stage.

Who can join?

Pottermore works with a wide range of digital publishers and websites. We have a strict acceptance policy based on suitability, quality and brand fit. Each application is reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Pottermore reserve the right to refuse any sites that are deemed to be an unsuitable brand fit and those that contain objectionable material such as explicit language or content, or support for violent or discriminatory groups.
