Why do I need a Pottermore Shop account?
You need an account for the Pottermore Shop so that your eBook and digital audio book downloads can be saved in one secure and easy-to-access place, 'My books'.
It's free and easy to create a Pottermore Shop account.
You will be prompted to create an account as part of the purchase process. Alternatively, you can go to 'My shop account' and create one from there.
Please note that your Pottermore Shop account is not the same as your Pottermore.com account, and your sign-in details will differ.
I have forgotten my password, what should I do?
Just go to the Forgotten password page and we'll send you a link to reset it. Please note, your password needs to contain a minimum of six characters, with a mixture of numbers and letters.
How do I change my password?
Sign in to the Pottermore Shop and go to 'My shop account', at the top right of the page. You can update your password in the 'Personal details' page.
I have forgotten my security question and/or answer. What should I do?
Sign in to the Pottermore Shop and go to 'My shop account'. You can update your security question and/or answer here.
How do I change the email address I use to sign in to my shop account?
Sign in to the Pottermore Shop and go to 'My shop account'. You can update your email address here.
I have forgotten the email address I use to sign in to my shop account. What should I do?
If you have various different email addresses, but can't remember which one you registered with, try out a few different combinations first. If this doesn't work please Contact us and we will try to help.
How do I remove a saved card?
Go to 'Saved Cards' in your Pottermore Shop account. You can view your saved cards here, and remove any that you no longer wish to use.
How do I change my saved card information?
For security reasons, you cannot edit your saved cards. You can only remove cards that you no longer wish to use, or add new cards when you are at the checkout.
How do I change my marketing preferences?
Go to 'Account preferences' after signing into your Pottermore Shop account. You can change your marketing preferences here.
How do I delete my shop account?
Although we hope you don't want to leave us, if you do decide to close your Pottermore Shop account, please click the Contact us link. Please include any relevant details, and we will try to help as quickly as possible.
Please remember that if you delete your shop account you will no longer be able to access any remaining downloads. However the eBooks or digital audio books you have already downloaded will remain on your device or in your library.

My book is not appearing in 'My books'. What should I do?
If you book is not showing in 'My books' a few minutes after making your purchase, please sign out and try signing in to your account again. Sometimes this is all you need to do for your book to appear.
If your book is still not showing after that, please Contact us, including relevant details and we will try to help as quickly as possible.
